In Catania, vaccines and violins

CATANIA – “With today’s comforting data I want to hope for the start of the summer, which means a gradual return to normal in standby for more than a year now”. Catania’s Covid emergency commissioner Pino Liberti celebrates the increase in vaccinated people by promoting a musical moment to distract from anxiety.

“For those who are here at the hub waiting for the serum, we have thought of offering entertainment that will brighten the wait. Thanks to the generosity of the superintendent of the Massimo Bellini Theater, Giovanni Cultrera who immediately responded to our invitation, and of the musicians protagonists of the musical afternoon who joined this as other free initiatives, exclusively for the love of music and an authentic spirit of solidarity, contributing to the vaccination campaign “.

To kick off this afternoon the string quartet made up of orchestra professors from the Massimo Bellini theater – violins, Alessandro Cortese and Antonio D’Amico; viola, Roberta Bullace; cello, Alessandro Longo – who entertained the visitors of the pavilion with the great classics, Bach, Mascagni, Piovani.
