Illegal motorcycle modifications increase in Ragusa: two out of three are modified beyond legal limits

The article explains that the Ragusa police station has increased controls in the area of Modica following numerous reports from citizens regarding dangerous driving behaviors and disturbing noises during the night hours. In response, the Ragusa traffic police section has launched targeted prevention operations, also using plainclothes officers on motorcycles and unidentifiable cars. In just the first week of October, patrols issued 81 fines for traffic violations, with a focus on illegally modified mopeds. A total of 225 points were deducted from licenses, and 111 people and 96 vehicles were checked. It was found that two out of three mopeds were irregular, with modifications not compliant with official documents. Irregular vehicles were impounded administratively, while those with engines exceeding legal limits (50cc engine capacity and 45 km/h speed) were confiscated, as per current regulations.
