The committee now has its structure and the president is Annalisa Sferrazza. It was she who first stopped traffic on that famous Thursday at the end of September during the protest. The committee met with Mayor Walter Tesauro to announce the urgencies and priorities. “The distribution should be fair for everyone,” says President Sferrazza. “At the moment, there are areas where water arrives every day because it passes through the network that goes to the prison and the hospital.” Among the requests is to monitor the situation with continuous analysis of the water that continues to come out murky from the taps but is officially potable. Mothers are taking to the streets again with a large demonstration on Sunday, October 20 at 5 pm starting from Piazza Falcone Borsellino, to which they hope many will join “because the problem is not only in part of the city,” Sferrazza continues, “the one who lives in the historic center neighborhoods, but for everyone. Even for those who can afford the water tanks because if the water runs out, there is none for the rich or the poor.” The sit-in will continue on Monday, October 14 and Tuesday, October 15 from 9 am to 12 pm. In the photo with Annalisa Sferrazza, president of the committee, are Maria Pardi and Marcella Stuppia.
