The strengthening of face-to-face lessons in Sicilian schools has been postponed for a week almost everywhere. Giacinto Pipitone writes it in the Giornale di Sicilia on newsstands. Too complicated to develop a transport system that includes more buses in circulation to spread more students on more trips.
The difficulties have thus led many principals and mayors to keep classroom lessons in high school limited to 50% of the pupils. The others will continue to follow from home, with distance learning.
The councilor for education Roberto Lagalla had issued a circular on Thursday in which he left the principals the possibility of grading the return to 75%. But between Friday and Saturday, a series of meetings in the various prefectures revealed the need to make general arrangements for the postponement of at least a week for the return to class of the additional 25% of pupils. It happened in Trapani, Messina, Catania, Agrigento, Ragusa, Caltanissetta.
Extreme case in Enna where all the schools were closed at least until March 13 after an opinion from the Asp. On the other hand, everything is more confusing for the Palermo schools where each principal is deciding independently if and how to bring the other 25% of waiting students back to class. It then goes on like a leopard spot.
