He must serve 14 years, taken in Catania by Giuseppe Barbato

The Carabinieri of the “Squadra Lupi” of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command, in execution of an order for imprisonment issued by the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Catania, arrested the 55-year-old Giuseppe Barbato from Catania.
The man in particular, part of the Librino group of the Cosa Nostra family of Catania Santapaola-Ercolano, managed the drug dealing square in via Capo Passero, a “task” originally entrusted to him by the then head of the group Fabrizio Nizza (which later became collaborator of Justice) and, therefore, maintained with the succession at the top of his brother Andrea Nizza, the latter arrested by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command on January 15, 2017 while in a state of fugitive he was hiding in a villa in Viagrande.
Barbato, who will have to atone for 14 years and 20 days of imprisonment for the crimes of criminal association aimed at trafficking and dealing in narcotic substances, was surprised while he was staying at a relative’s home in via Capo Passero and, therefore, associated with the Catania Piazza Lanza prison.
