Gym owner in Ribera injured in legs; fugitive surrenders in Vittoria.

A 29-year-old man from Vittoria, his hometown, turned himself into the police station after shooting a 45-year-old gym owner from Ribera in Agrigento last night. The suspect, who lives in Ribera, is accused of causing serious or potentially life-threatening injuries to the victim with a loaded hunting rifle. The motive for the incident is currently unknown. Following a delicate surgical procedure at Sant’Elia Hospital in Caltanissetta, the victim remains hospitalized in vascular surgery. The gym owner did not require transfer to the intensive care unit due to his good health.
