Gregoretti, from the Senate ok at the trial. Salvini: "I'm not yet on trial"
After the go-ahead from the Senate, the former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini will be judged on the Gregoretti case by an ordinary section of the Catania court. This is provided for by the constitutional law governing the matter, number 1 of 16 January 1989, which amended articles 96, 134 and 135 of the Constitution and another constitutional law, number 1 of 11 March 1953. A sentence of the Consulta of 12 February 2002, in the interpretative session, given that the law did not expressly provide for it, clarified that the cards must be physically re-transmitted from Rome to the same Court of Ministers who had asked for authorization to proceed, so that the proceeding continues "according to ordinary forms, that is to say by the public prosecutor and before the competent judicial bodies ".
