Green pass and vaccinations to be able to restart safely and complete the championships. This is the direction traced by the president of Lnd Sicilia Sandro Morgana in view of the imminent resumption of football competitions in our region.
Morgana spoke of the health protocols that it was decided to adopt according to the health situation, very similar to those used for the major divisions: “Let’s start again on day 12 – she says – with all our activities. It starts with Excellence, Promotion and C1 series of 5-a-side football but all activities will resume within the month. It is a great commitment, we will start again safely. We wanted a more rigid protocol where the green pass and alternatively tampons were needed. I believe that if everything goes as it should go this will give us peace of mind ” The president of the Lnd Sicilia announced that the federal body will start, in line with the policy undertaken for the restart, a day dedicated to immunizations to be held at the Ficarazzi headquarters on Friday 10 September: “Next week – continues Morgana – there will be a vaccination hub thanks to the synergy with the ASP of Palermo and we will have a vaccination day. We are following this path in which we strongly believe. I have already said it on other occasions and I repeat it today: you have to get vaccinated, vaccinated and vaccinated “. Another front on which the NLD wanted to direct its commitment is women’s football both in terms of joining teams and in terms of the growth of practitioners through the “Girls in cleats” project. Morgana in this sense hopes that the movement will take further steps forward: “Women’s football is growing – she says – and I expect it to grow in Sicily as early as this year. Last year we left with seven teams: this year I expect more. I do not give numbers but I hope to double these teams and make two groups also to lighten the expenses of the companies that, having to participate in only one group, would be burdened by all these sacrifices. I hope that the clubs accept this invitation and that the number of athletes will also increase thanks to the project we have put in place “. Regarding the expectations and hopes related to the restart of regional amateur football, the president of the NLD hopes that the tournaments can be concluded peacefully unlike the last two seasons: “Our only goal – concludes Morgana – is to ensure that we can return to live quietly and an absolute normality; therefore, to play a championship without interruptions that ends well and in which everyone can achieve their goals. I believe that the best must win and therefore the message I send is one of trust and hope “.
