Provincial Health Authority and the Municipality of Agrigento together to prevent and combat the phenomenon of gender-based violence with joint and integrated actions.
This morning, at the Palazzo dei Giganti, the ASP extraordinary commissioner, Mario Zappia, and the mayor of Agrigento, Francesco Micciché, signed an important memorandum of understanding through which the two entities undertake, each according to the peculiarities of their own lines activities, to network to promote community awareness actions, to ensure adequate assistance, accompaniment and guidance to women in difficulty, to guarantee protection and safety to victims of psycho-physical violence.
A permanent consultation table is foreseen, able to intervene promptly and professionally and to constantly monitor the phenomenon through a data collection system on its consistency.
