Garden of Memory Oil Delivered to Monreale Bishop

The Palermo police headquarters handed over to the archbishop of Monreale, Gualtiero Isacchi, a vial of oil obtained from the olive harvest planted in the “Garden of Memory” in Capaci, near the site of the massacre where Judge Giovanni Falcone, his wife Francesca Morvillo, and security agents died. The delivery ceremony took place in the context of the initiative that will also see the State police deliver a vial of that oil to all the Dioceses in the national territory, thus consecrating it during the chrism mass of Holy Wednesday or Thursday for the anointing of bishops, priests, baptized, and confirmed individuals. The initiative was promoted by the Palermo police headquarters, the association “Quarto Savona Quindici,” and the chaplain of the State police and was supported by Coldiretti Sicily and the students of the Majorana higher institute.
