Gabriele Minì disappoints in the Feature race: after Saturday’s victory, he finishes in sixteenth place.

With only two races remaining in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, Gabriele Minì’s hopes of catching up to the top positions are almost extinguished. After yesterday’s victory in the Sprint race, which brought him to fifth place in the standings, Minì had a lackluster result with no points in today’s Feature race at the Hungarian circuit. Starting from the sixth row, Minì finished the race in 16th place. It was a weekend of ups and downs, with a poor performance in Friday’s practice sessions, a promising second place in Saturday’s qualifying, and a disappointing race today. At the Hungaroring circuit, Minì struggled from the fourth lap onwards due to issues with used tires. His performance was below par, as he was overtaken and dropped to 15th place. The car was not as fast as the frontrunners, further hindering his progress. With six laps to go, Minì managed to recover to 16th place from 17th, but the comeback did not yield any points and caused him to slip to seventh place in the overall standings. British driver Zac O’Sullivan crossed the finish line first, earning 28 points and securing second place in the championship, 33 points behind Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto, who finished sixth today and still leads the standings. Dino Beganovic came in second, followed by Italian driver Franco Colapinto. The next race weekend will take place from July 28 to 30 at Spa Francorchamps, followed by a month-long break before the decisive double-header at Monza from September 1 to 3.
