Friendship Festival in Ribera, the return of Rotondi: “We Christian Democrats know what dialogue is”

The “Festa dell’Amicizia” organized by the Christian Democracy in Ribera featured unexpected speaker Gianfranco Rotondi, a national deputy who had previously been in a dispute with Totò Cuffaro over the use of the DC symbol. Rotondi emphasized the Christian Democrats’ willingness to engage in dialogue and expressed his support for different parties that align with the DC. Sergei Patronov, the consul general of the Russian Federation in Palermo, also attended the event and expressed his willingness to negotiate with the Ukrainian consul in order to find a solution to the conflict between the two countries. Patronov mentioned that Russia is working on proposals for a potential peace agreement, but emphasized the non-negotiable nature of issues concerning the populations in Ukraine and Crimea.
