Former mistreatment, the Cassation reiterates its condemnation for Agrigento

The Cassation has confirmed the sentence to 3 years and 4 months of imprisonment, due to ill-treatment of the former partner, to Ignazio Sciascia, 52, originally from Agrigento but who has lived in Marsala for some time.

In the first instance, at the end of September 2017, the single judge Iole Moricca condemned the man. Then, the sentence was confirmed by the Court of Appeal of Palermo.

The facts disputed with the defendant are related to the beginning of 2016. And it was on the occasion of the "Women's Day", on 8 March 2016, that the former partner, who is now 30 years old, tired of suffering, decided to leave the cohabitant. In the past, Ignazio Sciascia had already been convicted for family abuse.

In that case, the elderly mother was a victim. Then, he was accused of persecutory acts, mistreatment and injuries to the detriment of the last cohabitant.
