Former employee of a youth community in Nisseno sentenced for sexual assault, 13-year-old boy victim

A 38-year-old woman from Canicattì, in the province of Agrigento, has been arrested and taken to prison to serve a 3-year and 4-month sentence for sexual violence. The victim, a young man who was 13 years old at the time of the abuses, reported the crimes, leading to the woman’s conviction. Her appeal to the Supreme Court was declared inadmissible, making her sentence definitive. In addition to serving time, she has been ordered to compensate the victim and is banned from public office and any position in schools or facilities primarily attended by minors for 5 years.
