Five migrants arrive in Triscina and seek assistance from a local merchant

Five migrants, including three minors, landed on the coast of Triscina in the Trapani area and turned to a local merchant to call the police. It is remarkable what these migrants did as soon as they reached land. They went straight to a nearby commercial establishment and asked the owner to call the police for help. The five migrants, all of Tunisian nationality, requested political asylum from the Carabinieri (Italian military police) and the necessary legal procedures were initiated for them. The coast guard also seized the motorboat they used for the journey.
