Even last night, fires broke out in different areas of Palermo, threatening houses at times. The Partinicese area was heavily affected by the fires, with several outbreaks occurring in rural areas and along some roads. The situation was particularly difficult in the San Giuseppe Jato area, with firefighters engaged on multiple fronts.
One intervention took place on the state road 624, namely Palermo Sciacca. Some shrubs caught fire alongside the road. Numerous fires also occurred in various wooded areas of San Giuseppe Jato, in some cases endangering the surrounding houses.
Another fire also broke out in Partinico, along the state road 113 and in the Piano di Fico area. In all cases, the work of the firefighters prevented the flames from causing damage to property or people.
