Fire on a catamaran in Marina di Ragusa, intervention by firefighters prevents the worst

#Ragusa
There was panic at the Marina di Ragusa port in Italy due to a fire on an American-flagged catamaran. The fire alarm at the fire brigade’s control room went off at around 7am this morning. When the firefighters arrived, they were able to extinguish the remaining fire, as some makeshift interventions had already been made. These interventions were luckily successful because there was a propane gas cylinder inside the catamaran, which could have caused an explosion. The fire brigade sent a team of three vehicles and seven firefighters to the site. The catamaran sustained significant damage, but thankfully no one was injured. The cleanup operation lasted for hours.
