Fire in Giarre, athletic stadium and hotel affected

The firefighters responded to the reports from several citizens in Giarre who were alarmed by the high and thick smoke and large flames that were burning uncontrollably, driven by a dangerous gust of wind. They managed to extinguish a large fire after a couple of hours of fighting against the flames, which had spread in an uncultivated area full of brush, near the athletic stadium and a well-known hotel in the city.
