Fire and accidents on State Road 640, one injured and traffic disruption.

A fire and an accident in the early hours of the morning heavily slowed down traffic on the state road 640, in the locality of Caos, near Agrigento. The main issues occurred near the overpass in the locality of Maddalusa, where a fire was extinguished by the personnel of the provincial fire department in Agrigento. The fire, caused by the usual burning of brushwood, also destroyed some trees near residential areas. The flames spread onto the road, barely touching some vehicles and causing a minor injury. Traffic in the area was inevitably slowed down, due to the thick black smoke that reduced visibility. The situation now seems to have returned to normal.
