Fatal accident on Palermo-Sciacca road: three dead, three children seriously injured

Serious accident on the Palermo-Sciacca road, at the junction for Giacalone, in the province of Palermo. At around 8:15 am, there was a collision between two vehicles, a Toyota Rav 4 Suv and a Mercedes, which resulted in the death of three people. The causes of the accident are still being investigated. There were also three children on board who were injured and transported to the hospital in critical condition by helicopter. The emergency services, carabinieri, and firefighters intervened to extract the victims from the wreckage.

The road was temporarily closed to traffic, with diversion to alternative local routes. Anas teams also intervened on site.
