A living museum of Pistachio is born in Agrigento. The first plants were planted this morning as part of the seventh edition of Fastuca Fest, the event that celebrates the Raffadali Dop Pistachio. The pistachio grove is located in Contrada Pietra Rossa, in the territory of Agrigento, on a 1.5-hectare land that is part of the Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples. All varieties of pistachio will be grafted, a total of 280 plants, with the aim of preserving the genepool of each cultivar. In addition to the living museum, there are plans for the renovation of a building to house a museum of peasant art and an event hall. The planting was carried out by the board of the Raffadali Dop Pistachio Consortium.
