Fabiana Rinella has won a bronze medal at the U17 World Championships in Istanbul, confirming her exceptional skills. The young Italian wrestler has once again showcased her talent on the international stage, proving that the U17 bronze medal rightfully belongs to her. She secured the bronze by convincingly defeating American wrestler Karlee Books with a score of 7-4, after an impressive performance throughout the competition. In the semifinals, Rinella was stopped by Japanese wrestler Sakura Onishi, who went on to become the world champion in their weight category. While Rinella is happy with her bronze, her ultimate goal was to reach the top of the podium. Her father and coach, Salvatore Rinella, expressed his pride and joy for Fabiana’s achievements, highlighting that winning the European Championship was just the beginning. Their next target is participation in the 2024 Olympics, with a long-term plan leading up to the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.
