Explosion of a Gas Cylinder Triggers Fire in Ragusa Farmhouse

The accumulation of waste in an abandoned farmhouse near the Ragusa cemetery caused a fire and an explosion of a gas cylinder. The fragments were projected into the vegetation, sparking a wildfire. Firefighters and forest rangers have been working since 1 pm to contain the fire. The Soup of Palermo is sending aerial vehicles to assist. There is a risk that the fire may reach the Cilone district, towards the Ragusa-Chiaramonte Gulfi road. Ground teams are working to contain the fire and prevent it from affecting populated areas.
