Edy Tamajo confirms his lead in preferences in Sicily. He wins the internal challenge within the Forza Italia-Noi moderati list in the Islands district, with a lead of 20,000 votes over Marco Falcone; only third is the top candidate Caterina Chinnici, on whom Antonio Tajani had bet. While Massimo Dell’Utri, who also received the votes of Totò Cuffaro’s DC, is in fourth place.
There is a big celebration at Tamajo’s headquarters in the seaside village of Mondello, in Palermo.

The Minister for Economic Activities, who is very close to Governor Renato Schifani, wins the duel with his fellow minister and party member Falcone, a protegé of Maurizio Gasparri in Sicily.
