The words of the candidates

“I believe that the time has come to share my experiences in thirty years of public service with my city to which I owe so much and which is going through a difficult time – he declares Lucia Bonaffino, candidate of the Democratic Party -.
With those who, like me, have Palermo at heart I will carry out this path that will lead us to the electoral appointment and I want to do it together with you.
I am sure that we will bring to the municipal administration the right energy and the skills necessary for the rebirth of our wonderful Palermo ”.

“I am 25 years old and I was born in this unfortunate city that has forced me to leave many times, but has always pushed me to return – he says.
Riccardo Botta, candidate of the Democratic Party -.
In my life I have been lucky enough to come across numerous non-institutional training opportunities, in people who have given me so much with their advice, their training, their experiences.
The time has come to put these experiences at the service of the community, to take back our present together and to live our city as citizens, not as guests, to love it as our home, to be able to decide to stay here to build a family, being able to decide not to go away “.

“Ascoltiamo Palermo” will not be a simple political convention but a laboratory of ideas and exchange open to the people of Palermo, to listen to opinions, proposals and suggestions, thus building a participatory program that has as a common goal the rebirth of the city.

Nine macro-themes will be discussed, strategic points for change, addressing problems and inconveniences unfortunately known to citizens: from waste, urban green and traffic to tourism, enhancement of art and job opportunities for young people.

“We therefore wish to start from participatory paths to arrive at the sharing of strategic choices for the city – explain Lucia Bonaffino and Riccardo Botta -.
For two years the Democratic Party has been working on the program for Palermo, thanks to laboratories, departments, agora with which we reason and confront the city on priority issues and open problems.
With this heritage we took part in the table with the allies of the coalition and reached an understanding on some points with which, now, we will discuss with the citizens, to continue with the construction of the project for Palermo and prepare together for its implementation “.
