Elderly woman’s home robbed, three arrested in Montemaggiore Belsito.

The carabinieri of the provincial command of Palermo executed a preventive custody order issued by the judge of Termini Imerese against two men aged 20 and 38 and a 34-year-old woman, all from Montemaggiore Belsito. They are accused of burglary against an 89-year-old lady. The investigations started after the victim filed a complaint and gathered evidence against all three suspects. On July 31st, two of them allegedly entered the elderly victim’s house and stole gold jewelry, stainless steel and silver cutlery, and even furniture. The timely investigations led to the partial recovery of the stolen items. The three suspects will be questioned by the judge in the coming days. It is important to note that the suspects are currently only under suspicion, and their guilt will be determined throughout the judicial process and through a final conviction.
