Elderly man assaulted and beaten on bus after an argument

An elderly man was attacked and beaten while on board a bus, number 29 of the Atm. According to initial reports this morning, a fight broke out inside the vehicle between two passengers, with a young man attacking an elderly person and then fleeing.

At that moment, the bus was passing through via Garibaldi, near piazza Castronovo, and the driver immediately stopped the bus. Emergency services were called. An ambulance from the 118 service arrived on the scene to assist the elderly man.

A police car also arrived on via Garibaldi. The officers interviewed several witnesses to understand the motive behind the attack and to locate the perpetrator.

Delays of about half an hour were reported on the bus line.
