The earth continues to shake in Sicily. After the first shocks of the year recorded in the Catania area, in the Messina area and in the Syracuse area, here is the latest, in order of time, along the Ragusa coast. An earthquake of magnitude 2.4 it happened, at 11.31 pm yesterday, at sea, at a depth of 4 km. The earthquake was localized by the seismic room of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology in Rome.
The earthquake at the end of a day where there had been two other three seismic events: at 3:55 in the Aeolian Islands area and at 4:35, on the north-eastern Sicilian coast, in the Messina area. Then, at 10.29, an earthquake of magnitude 2.6 along the coast of Syracuse, at a depth of 28 kilometers. This last event, not far from the last one, took place, as mentioned, just before midnight in the Ragusa area.
All seismic events were detected by the seismic room of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology in Rome.
