Catania, il market della droga protetto dalle telecamere: due arrestati, uno è minorenne

A 19-year-old and a minor were arrested by the Carabinieri in Catania for drug dealing. They had set up a drug dealing area in a ground floor studio apartment in via Gardenia in the San Giorgio district, equipped with a courtyard accessed by an iron gate, all protected by closed circuit cameras. There, according to the accusation, they were selling cocaine, hashish, and marijuana.

The Carabinieri intervened when three young buyers were entering the courtyard to purchase drugs and raided the apartment, arresting the two individuals. The authorities seized 30 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of marijuana, and 2 grams of hashish, as well as 700 euros in cash and a monitor connected to 4 cameras. The two suspects were placed at the disposal of the ordinary judicial authority and the juvenile court, both of which confirmed the measure. For the minor, the precautionary measure was ordered in a minor’s community.
