Denise Pipitone, new interceptions appear: the Roma track reopens

We return to talk about Denise Pipitone and always in one of those broadcasts that has dealt with the case the most in the past, 14.00 on Rai Uno. There is talk of new interceptions and a Roma track, already beaten a few years ago. Now some phone calls and a voice could support the thesis, to find the girl who disappeared from Mazara del Vallo on 1 September 2004.

The Rom track

There has been a lot of talk about the Roma track in recent years, thanks to a video made with a mobile phone of the time by a security guard who worked in Milan. The guard caught a little girl who spoke Italian and was called Danàs, within a group of alleged Roma.

On April 12, 2005, the carabinieri of Sondrio received a remarkable report: an Egyptian woman had recognized Denise in some shots shown by a Kosovar citizen who helped her with the housework.

So the carabinieri of Sondrio activated and broke into a party in which they should have found the child and the woman in the video, but, having identified all the bystanders, they did not find them.

The new interceptions

There are also some wiretaps, but they have not been taken into consideration. “At present – reads a document – the results emerged from the interceptions in progress are unknown, considering that it has not yet been possible to identify an interpreter who knows the language he speaks”. In other words, it is not known what is said in the interceptions because an interpreter was not found: “Ore 14” therefore asks to be able to bring them back to the attention of the investigators.
