Denial of Charges by Arrested Catanzaro Lawyers in Palermo Entrepreneur Tangent Case

Two lawyers have defended themselves in front of a judge in Catanzaro, denying the accusations made against them. They were arrested by the finance police for extortion, allegedly asking for 50,000 euros from the president of a company in Palermo. The lawyers were supposedly trying to facilitate an agreement between the company and a foundation, for which they were curators. The finance police began an investigation after the president reported the incident and caught one of the lawyers receiving a portion of the money. The judge will decide on their release in the coming hours.
