Troina mourns Salvatore Costantino, former mayor of the Ennese town, who passed away recently at the age of 59. He was a prominent figure in right-wing politics in Enna, initially affiliated with National Alliance and later a leader in Brothers of Italy. Many remember him as a passionate man who brought about change and contributed to Troina’s growth out of his love for the region. Costantino served as mayor from 2008 to 2013 and held other public positions, including councilor and assistant to Giuseppe Artimagnella. The current mayor, Alfio Giachino, expressed his condolences and fondly remembered their shared passion for politics. Former mayor Fabio Venezia also offered his condolences, highlighting their shared love for politics and their country. Funeral services will be held on August 14th at the Santa Maria degli Angeli church in Troina.
