Cupola 2.0: Leandro Greco’s treasure seized, grandson of “Ciaculli Mafia Boss”

Goods worth one million euros have been seized by the Carabinieri of the investigative unit of the provincial command of Palermo from Leandro Greco, 34 years old, grandson of “Papa of Ciaculli” Michele Greco.

The young scion of the Greco family had been arrested in December 2018 in the “Cupola 2.0” operation, which thwarted the plan to reestablish the Cupola of Cosa Nostra, and was subsequently sentenced in December 2020 to 12 years in prison for participating in the mafia association in a leading role.

Investigative activities and statements from some collaborators of justice have shown that Leandro Greco, also known as “Michele,” had promoted the reorganization of the Provincial Commission of Cosa Nostra, participating in numerous meetings with leaders of other districts. Technical activities revealed him as a key figure designated to assume a prominent role in the Ciaculli district. Among the seized assets are two individual businesses in Palermo, one in the restaurant sector and the other in wholesale of fruits and vegetables, a real estate unit in Palermo intended for artisan laboratory use, and 12 bank accounts.
