The second Biblio Casetta in the province of Syracuse was born in Floridia. On Sunday 27 June the Sandro Spagnoli Park, in via Salvador Allende, was enriched with a new source of beauty. Nuova Acropoli Floridia, in fact, has built and installed a small book house that can be used by all, right in the park that the same association has adopted and restored.
Nuova Acropoli has always been involved in Volunteering and Ecology, but Culture and Philosophy are the cornerstones of this international reality. Precisely for this reason it recognizes the fundamental importance that books and reading have, a tool for growth and evolution, not only individual but also social and “political”.
Thanks to the effort and generosity of Floridia’s young volunteers, young and old will be able to take or donate a book, or read and return it, in total autonomy and freedom. The books inside, in fact, have been designed for all kinds of ages and interests, from the lightest to the most demanding, covering as much as possible all literary genres.
After the “Little Free Library” of the IV Salvatore Quasimodo Comprehensive Institute and the Biblio Casetta of the Sandro Spagnoli Park, it is hoped that the construction of these mini libraries will be taken as an example in the entire province, so as to be able to find them in every city and country, to make books travel together with our imagination.
