Covid vaccines, 4 million doses administered in Sicily. In Messina 4 thousand a day – Tight Time

On a national basis, 40% of the population has completed the vaccination cycle

4 million 4 thousand 815 inoculated doses. Sicily exceeds another milestone in anti Covid vaccination, even if it maintains a lower percentage of the available doses compared to the national average.

Since the beginning of the campaign, the region has had 4 million 602 thousand 40 doses available and has inoculated 87%, while the national average is 89.2%.

Only five regions, Calabria (84.8%), Liguria (86.4%), Alto Adige (86.6%), Tuscany and Basilicata (86.7%), have a lower percentage than Sicily.

In Italy 54 million 371 thousand 521 doses have been injected out of an availability of 60 million 982 thousand 205.

21 million 203 thousand 897 people, 39.26% of the population (excluding children under 12), were vaccinated with two doses or with the single Janssen, then completed the immunization cycle.

The data of the last few days in the province of Messina

6 vaccination centers in Messina, 9 in the rest of the province, then vaccinations at home and by doctors. 4322 doses (1082 first doses + 3240 second doses) were inoculated on Monday 5 July, Sunday 4 July 2930 (702 + 2228), Saturday 3 July 4134 (865 + 3269), Friday 2 July 4339 (1171 + 3168), Thursday 1 July 4372 (1143 + 3229). The average of the last few days is just over 4 thousand inoculated doses per day.

There are “only” 9 hospitalized, of which 7 at the Policlinico and 2 at Papardo (of which 1 in intensive care). The current positives are 68 in the Municipality of Messina and 172 in the province.
