Covid Messina: the 300 doctors of the screening have not yet been paid – Tempo Stretto

The alarm comes from trade unionists Clara Crocè and Pietro Fotia (Csa-Cisal). The amounts due for December and January have not been paid

The doctors hired by ASP for the covid emergency screening campaign have not yet been paid monthly payments in December and January. To point this out with a note are the Csa-Cisal trade unionists Clara Crocè and Pietro Fotia who sent a warning to President Musumeci and the Commissioner ad acta COVID of Messina.

No payment

We find the non-payment of the salary to the 300 doctors hired by the Messina ASP to deal with the coronavirus emergency. While other professionals involved in the coronavirus emergency (administrative and biologists), the relative remuneration has been paid – write Clara Crocè and Pietro Fotia – inexplicably, the amounts due to the Doctors are not paid, all this happens only in Messina“.

December and January

The payment system provided for in the contractual agreements provides that the doctor concerned presents the invoice for the monthly service carried out and then the competent body provides for the liquidation. The 300 Messina doctors, as per the agreement stipulated on 23 December last, have already submitted the invoices relating to the months of December and January, to date, have not been paid.

The institutions intervene

We asked the competent institutions – conclude Clara Crocè and Pietro Fotia – an intervention to solve this problem so that the Messina healthcare system does not become a case again and the young doctors who put their health in danger every day receive what is due to them ”.
