Covid: 1500 suspended, 500 jobs at risk

(ANSA) – PALERMO, 03 JAN – The suspension of the 1500 number of the Ministry of Health, denounce the unions, puts hundreds of jobs at risk. Tomorrow the unions will be at the meeting at the Ministry of Health. At risk are 500 Almaviva contact workers employed in the production sites of Palermo, Catania, Rende, Naples and Milan. In the Sicilian capital there are about 200, and since January 1st they have been in Cigs at zero hours. The national secretariats of Slc Cgil, Fistel Cisl, Uilcom Uil requested the meeting. Another meeting, however, is also scheduled for January 11 at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, with the participation of the head of the cabinet of the Ministry of Health.

An act of responsibility and courage on the part of all the actors involved is necessary”. The public utility number 1500 had been activated to offer telephone advice and information on Covid-19, with particular reference to prevention measures, the vaccination campaign and the Covid-19 Green Certification.
