Coronavirus, infections on the rise: 613 in Sicily

Coronavirus cases have been on the rise for four days in Sicily. In the last twenty-four hours, 613 new positives were recorded out of a total of 25,187 swabs performed. The victims are 15. The figure emerges from the bulletin released by the Ministry of Health. The positivity rate is also increasing: yesterday it was 2% while today it is 2.4%. The region is also today in twelfth place in the number of new daily infections. The victims have been 15 in the last 24 hours and bring the total to 4,075. The currently positive are 27,026 or 664 fewer cases than yesterday. The healed are 1,262. In hospitals, hospitalizations are decreasing again and now they are 930, 16 less than yesterday, but the number of hospitalizations in intensive care is rising where they are now 131, or one more than yesterday.

In Italy

There are 19,886 positive tests for coronavirus recorded in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday the positives were 16,424. The victims are instead 308, while yesterday there were 318. The Ministry of Health has corrected the data on the tests for the coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy: they are 353.704 and not 443.704 as appeared at first in the online table, therefore just 13 thousand more than yesterday. The positivity rate therefore rises to 5.6% (+ 0.8% compared to yesterday).
