Coronavirus, checks on passengers from Rome at the start of Trapani Birgi airport
Also at the airport of Trapani Birgi checks began on passengers arriving from Rome Fiumicino, as indicated by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection, on the Coronavirus emergency. From March 28, however, they will be extended to all flights arriving from countries outside Italy.
The decision followed the virtual meeting between ENAC, airport managers and Civil Protection on the Coronavirus emergency update, for which Anpas was invited to intervene, starting from flight Az1801 from Rome Fiumicino at 2.50 pm.
Of 72 passengers, no suspicious cases. The intervention team, present at the gates, with individual protection devices and infrared thermometers for controlling body temperature, is composed of a doctor and three units of health personnel.
