Coronavirus, Calabria and Sicily still in the yellow zone at least for another week: the latest updates

Calabria is Sicily they remain in the yellow zone at least until Sunday 7 March. We will have to wait for the new ordinance next weekend after the new data from the Control Room which will meet on Friday 5 March, but based on this week’s epidemiological trend it is very likely that in both regions of the extreme south of Italy the “yellow “Can be extended further, at least until mid-March. In Calabria, in fact, the infections remained stationary this week, while in Sicily they even further decreased compared to the previous one. The other Regions in yellow are Sardinia, Puglia, Lazio, Liguria, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia is Valle d’Aosta, for a total of over 20 million inhabitants.

The majority of Italians, about 37 million, will instead be in the orange zone from Monday 1 March: these are the residents of Lombardy, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Piedmont, Tuscany, Trentino Alto Adige, Abruzzo, Marche is Umbria. In lockdown, that is, in the “red zone”, there are only 2.5 million inhabitants: the residents of Basilicata is Molise and those of the Provinces of Pescara, Chieti, Siena, Pistoia is Frosinone.
