Tragedia sfiorata a Belpasso: crolla un balcone, due giovani feriti

A tragedy was narrowly averted in Belpasso, in the province of Catania, where a young couple was injured after part of the balcony collapsed due to the railing giving way and they fell five meters. The incident involved a 26-year-old and a 25-year-old who were on the balcony of a building on Via Svezia when the unexpected happened.

Emergency services were immediately called and the scene was attended by the carabinieri, firefighters, and paramedics from the local 118 service. The area was secured, and the two young individuals were transported to the hospital, fortunately not in life-threatening condition. Firefighters’ technicians will need to determine the cause of the collapse.
