Cittanovese President accuses: "Pelagotti unworthy, he threw rubber in the face of disabled fans"
The president of Cittanovese, Francesco D'Agostino, points the finger at the Palermo goalkeeper, Alberto Pelagotti, accusing him of unsportsmanlike behavior at the time of the referee's three-time whistle, coming to speak of "life-long daspo". But the 30-year-old defender also parries the accusations: "I did not throw any objects at the fans positioned behind the door, in fact, I was hit with pebbles".
The eight minutes of recovery allowed by the race director in the final of Cittanovese-Palermo evidently were not enough to dilute the minds of two companies that on the field, Sunday afternoon, did everything to bring home heavy points in the classification.
