An 8-year-old girl is in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at the Di Cristina Children’s Hospital in Palermo after being hit by a tractor in San Cataldo, Caltanissetta. She suffered lung, chest, and abdominal injuries as well as fractures in several parts of her body. The driver of the tractor, who apparently turned too close to a wall where the girl was walking, immediately called for help and provided first aid. The girl was initially treated at the Sant’Elia Hospital in Caltanissetta before being transferred to Palermo for further treatment. The police are investigating the incident, and the tractor has been confiscated.
