Catanian tourist climbs volcano crater in 40-degree heat, suffers heart attack, rescued by helicopter.

A 62-year-old tourist from Catania had a health episode while climbing the 400 meters of Mount Vulcano, possibly due to the intense heat (around 40 degrees Celsius). The possibility of a heart attack is being considered, and a helicopter rescue was necessary. The man was transported to Messina and admitted to the Papardo hospital. The fire department and Italian Red Cross provided assistance. The presence of the police resulted in several tourists being fined for violating the municipal order that prohibits climbing during certain hours. Despite the hot weather, the order was not respected.
