A kilo of marijuana was seized in Catania by the state police in the San Cristoforo district in the home of a 46-year-old man who was under house arrest, Filippo Scaglione, who was arrested for drug detention.
The agents broke into the man's house, in via Adele, after noticing a coming and going of people.
Scaglione had already been arrested by the police in January 2015 in execution of an order for pre-trial detention in prison for mafia association (clan of the Cursoti Milanesi) issued by the investigating magistrate, a criminal association aimed at trafficking in drugs and for the attempted murder of a alleged exponent of the Cappello – Bonaccorsi clan, Orazio Pardo, committed in competition with other leading exponents of the Milanese Cursoti, including Francesco Di Stefano and Carmelo Di Stefano, cousin of Scaglione.
Filippo Scaglione was imprisoned in the Piazza Lanza prison pending the hearing to validate the arrest.
