Police found a gun with a burned serial number in the elevator of a building in Librino, Catania, during a drug control operation. The unusual movement of people near a building caught the attention of the officers. The gun was found wrapped in cellophane and tape and has been seized for investigation. Ballistic tests will determine if it has been recently used. Tensions remain high in the neighborhood, as two people were recently arrested in connection with a shootout between rival clans that resulted in two deaths and several injuries.
