Wednesday 7 July at 10.00, in the corner between via Manzoni and via Antonino di Sangiuliano, the mayor Salvo Pogliese and the councilor for Culture Barbara Mirabella will open to the public a new municipal space, appropriately renovated and equipped, belonging to the Vincenzo library Bellini, as part of the project “Biblioteca Casa di Quartiere. Culture, Innovation and Inclusion for a Circular Economy ”, financed with funds from the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities.
For several months, in fact, the library in via Sangiuliano has been promoting free courses and workshops on diction, photography and scenography, but also on the recycling of green materials with the creation of installations, promoted by non-profit associations in Catania, on the basis of projects developed. by the Culture Department and the Library System – Film Commission office coordinated by Paolo Di Caro and Sabina Murabito, with a large number of subscribers and applicants for each of the initiatives, acting as a meeting place and collaboration between inhabitants, public institutions, private subjects and civil society, on the model of similar experiences in Europe and Italy.
