Catania – Attempted theft of cables from former hospital Vittorio Emanuele: suspects arrested

The police arrested two men aged 57 and 40 in Catania last night as they were attempting a robbery in the building housing the Vittorio Emanuele hospital. They are accused of attempted aggravated theft in concert and resistance to a public official. The officers intervened following a report and caught the couple with a backpack containing various burglary tools and a sack with copper electrical cables. For the two arrested, originally from Messina but living in Catania, both homeless, the judge, in the validation hearing, ordered them to report to the judicial police and the Questore issued a ban on returning for three years.
