Catania airport closed: first six flights diverted to Trapani, here are the details

Numerous flights have been canceled and others are waiting to know the decisions by Sac, the managing company, on whether Fontanarossa airport in Catania will reopen after its closure due to the eruption of Mount Etna. Currently, six incoming flights have been redirected to Trapani airport. These flights are Ryanair connections from Vienna at 7:55 am, Pisa at 8:15 am, Milan Malpensa at 8:35 am, Budapest at 8:45 am, Berlin at 9:10 am, and Bergamo at 9:20 am. Many passengers are reporting that the Catania airport website is not working, preventing them from checking if their flights will be rescheduled or canceled.
