Castelvetrano: Reduced sentence for girl who pushed car repairman to his death on Christmas night

The sentence for the girl who caused the death of a retired coachman in Castelvetrano has been reduced to six years and eight months on appeal in Palermo. Maria Aurora Campanella, accused of unintentional homicide, was originally sentenced to 11 years and 4 months in prison, but the judges recognized her mitigating factors. The incident occurred on Christmas Eve two years ago when Campanella and another young man were arguing near the retired coachman’s car. When he asked them to move away, Campanella pushed him, causing him to fall and eventually die from his injuries.
